For being healthy and developing your muscles to their full potential, you have to make sure that your body contains less of fat and more muscle mass. You also need to take care of your diet which is just as important as lifting weights.

Some people have problems putting on weight at all. They do not seem to get the benefits of eating properly. Skinny people in particular need a lot of weight training to build up their muscles.

First of all, to build up muscles, you have to increase your calorie intake. Be careful that you are only consuming good calories and not empty calories. Also, do not overeat. You will not lose fat and build muscle unless your calorie intake is balanced with your calorie usage. Your protein intake has to be sufficient in order to promote muscle growth and development. You should consume at least 2 grams of protein for every pound of your body weight.

You should break down you food intake into several small meals throughout the day. Those meals may also include smaller snacks like protein shakes or fruits. Avoid including saturated fats in your meals. Unsaturated fats, however, are necessary for your body to function. They are necessary to dissolve some essential vitamins in your body. Unsaturated fats also improve eyesight and your skin. Omega 3 fatty acids help in brain and body development. It will also keep your blood pressure under control. Natural sources of unsaturated fats are avocado, peanuts, corn and soybeans.

Carbohydrates are the preferred source of energy for the body. Make sure that you are getting plenty of carbohydrates. Do not get tempted by the idea of a low-carb diet. It may seem like a good way to lose weight quickly, but will harm you in the long run. You should also include a lot of fiber in your diet as this will improve your digestion. Multivitamin supplements will also help you in balancing your nutritional needs.

Last but not the least, drink plenty of water throughout the day. This will intoxicate your system and keep you hydrated. Water also helps in building up muscles as human body is mostly water.

Now, we will talk about exercise. If you want to build up every muscle in your body, then you will have to exercise each of them. Prepare a proper workout routine and stick to it. If you are slacking off on your regime, then you shouldn’t be wondering why you aren’t developing any muscles. First of all, be specific with your goal. Do you just want to lose weight or do you want to build yourself up.

You will have to start small first, just like the Adonis Golden Ratio dictates, and then you can gradually progress onto heavier weights. As a beginner, you will see results faster. Never work the same muscle group two days in a row. Muscles that are torn during exercising need a day or two to repair. This is what leads to strengthening of muscles. Also, get 8 hours of sleep every night because most of the maintenance work is done during sleep.

Do not forget to warm up before exercising as this will help you in raising your body temperature and preventing injuries. After exercising, do stretches. This will help in easing the pain and avoiding muscle cramps. Always be consistent with your workout program.
