Inhale when you start the exercise and exhale as you are ending the routine.

Even if you are doing an exercise with free weights, make sure to find out the proper way of doing that exercise to avoid injuries.

Design your workout schedule such that you do not exercise the same muscle group two days in a row.
  • You should wear comfortable clothes while you work out. Clothes that are too tight will restrict your movement and clothes that are too loose might get stuck in the equipment. You may also wear sport shoes. Be careful with the shoe laces. Make sure they are tied.
  • If you are going to a gym, make sure that the equipment is working properly. Do not work on a machine that’s malfunctioning. It may catch fire, or hurt you severely. Inform the gym authorities about the malfunctioning equipment so that no one else gets hurt too.
  • Always carry two towels with yourself when you go to a gym. Use one towel for wiping your own sweat. Use the other one for wiping off a machine before and after you use it. The person who used it before you might have left his sweat behind.
